Saturday, June 7, 2025 is National Learn to Row Day! Join us at Bloedel Donovan park where we will open the WRA Boathouse to the community.
Participants will tour the boathouse, get an introduction to indoor rowing (erging), along with the basics of the rowing stroke and a brief overview of the equipment used and programs offered at WRA. The visit culminates in an on-the-water rowing experience (weather permitting).
WHEN: Saturday, June 3rd, 9:30 AM – 12:00 AM. Registration opens at 9:00.
WHERE: Robert C. Diehl Boathouse, Bloedel Donovan Park, 2202 Electric Avenue, Bellingham, Washington.
WHO: Ages 12+ No Experience Necessary, must be able to swim.
COST: Adults: $5 and Youth under 15 are free.
Come prepared to learn. To be on the water, bring water, wear athletic clothing and shoes, be prepared to get a little wet. Have a ton of fun learning how Rowing is a lifelong sport that develops physical and technical skills, encourages teamwork and is accessible to the entire community.
National Learn to Row Day is co-sponsored by USRowing and Concept2. The event is a community outreach day geared to educate and inspire all ages about the amazing sport of rowing.
