The Whatcom Rowing Association board of directors is excited to announce the decision to purchase a straight (coxless) quad and new set of sculling blades.

As our programs and interest in sculling continues to grow the need for this boat has become unmistakable. Over the past year alone several WRA crews have experienced disadvantage of having to race a coxed boat in a coxless event. The addition of this boat will help to support all programming at WRA and will have a positive impact on crews striving to reach new levels on the race course.

The newest boat to the WRA fleet will be a Wintech mid-weight straight (coxless) quad for a crew average range of 145-175lbs.

Great news! We are well on our way to our fundraising goal; $12,000 has been generously donated towards the purchase of this boat which will cover approximately half of the purchase price.
