ABOUT WRA

The Whatcom Rowing Association is a nonprofit, community-based rowing club that has served Whatcom County since 2011. We are dedicated to offering individuals of all ages the opportunity to learn the sport of rowing in a safe, fun and beautiful environment. We offer a variety of programs for all age groups and experience levels. Whether you have have previous experience or have never touched an oar we have something for you.

Why Rowing

Whatcom Rowing Association aims to create a healthy community through the love of rowing. Our organization encourages teamwork, fitness, leadership, commitment, and community engagement. WRA offers positive education, coaching, and training sessions to athletes of all ability levels and a wide range of ages, from teenagers to older adults.

ONE COMMUNITY

WRA is the only non profit community rowing organization north of Everett and our members reside throughout Whatcom County. The junior program is currently made up of 30 kids, from 3 middle schools and 5 high schools, and draws from Bellingham, Ferndale, Lummi Island, and Lynden.

WRA believes in the benefit of rowing access across all ages.  WRA is proud to have an active masters program in addition to our junior program.  We feel the positive attributes of rowing are tangible across a lifespan and we are passionate about providing access to all.
